I used this still from Sweeney Todd as a reference photo. This is the first time I've used Rickman for a reference, though I didn't want a Rickman Snape, so I tried to make it not look like him.  Full size is on my deviantart page.

By a stroke of luck and two counts of pure generosity, I managed to come into possession of a dixiebell12Death Eater mask for Azkatraz.

*squees madly*

It was made for droxy, but unfortunately, it didn't fit her. :( While I was at her house last weekend, she showed it to me and I tried it on. It was a perfect fit. With Dixie's permission, Droxy passed it on to me. I still can't believe I get to wear it to Az!

*grabs Dixiebell and Droxy by their collars and squeals thankyouthankyouthankyou*

The mask is so beautiful and wonderfully scary! Dixiebell did such an amazing job with it. I can't even believe it. Guh. It's nothing short of brilliant.

Title:   A Wedding Gift



I figure Hermione would love this book as a wedding gift.  :)  Severus...well, I think he's tired and ready to get Hermione alone.  I think he's also slightly worried that this particular gift might interfere with their Honeymoon.

So, I visited Droxy today and she taught me how to use a sewing machine. Perhaps surprisingly, I lived to tell the tale. There were no horrific accidents involving fingers/needles nor were there any explosions. It was actually a lot less scary than I thought it would be, though certainly not easy.

Droxy was a great teacher. She only made me cry twice. ;)

Okay, so there was no crying either! She really was a great teacher though. I learned a lot. I will no longer look at sewing machines and tremble.

What did I sew? Why, I sewed a rectangle cloak for dixiebell12's *bleepcensored* costume! (Are you scared dix? LOL).

I hope you have the happiest of happy birthdays dixiebell12 !  :)  I'm so glad to have met you.  It's been a joy to get to know you!  Cheers!

We once again have a more nasally endowed Reznor as Snape.  This is the scene where he hears the fated prophecy while eavesdropping at the Hog's Head.

It is more fun to make things when they are for people.  :)  Hmmm...what kind of interesting things can I make?  *has shifty eyes*

So, this one is entirely kingpig's fault.  She posted some pictures of Trent Reznor, and with my recent PhotoDraw experimentation craze, I decided to play with one.  I'm calling it a 'work in progress' because I'd like to do some additional work and improve things as I practice and (hopefully) improve my skill at digital painting.
